I have experience in both short-term brief therapy as well as more in-depth therapy to address behavior patterns and family of origin issues which may cause clients to feel “stuck” or hopeless when trying to change. Modalities include solution-focused or problem solving techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), insight oriented and psychodynamic models.
Anxiety problems, low self-esteem, depression, Attention Deficit Disorder and dealing with multiple life stressors- all can be a focus of treatment.
As part of my training for couples work, I have completed Level I and II of the John Gottman Institute’s Gottman Method Couples Therapy. In addition, I completed Level I of marital training in Terry Real’s Relational Life Institute. I also have extensive experience with stepfamily issues, eating disorders and substance abuse treatment and recovery.
